Colour Description

Guava is created using 100% natural, plant dye. The leftover contents of my dyepot are poured over my little veggie garden.

‘Guava’ is a warm, peachy pastel pink with sandy tones. It pairs perfectly with ‘Sunkissed’, and 'Cinnamon' - other colourways created with natural dye using a similar process so sharing some of those lovely hues.

Small batch hand-dyed.

Note - As this yarn is non-superwash this colourway differs slightly in appearance to the same colourway on superwash yarn. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions and I will be happy to supply you with as much info and as many pics as I can!

Small batch hand-dyed.

Yarn Description

Exquisite quality pure NZ Corriedale 8ply yarn. Corriedale has a very similar squish and softness to Merino but is harder wearing, longer lasting and more pill-resistant. Beautifully cozy and supple to work with and wear.

Non-Superwash yarn - be sure to hand wash only. Non-superwash yarn is perfect for projects that require more 'stickiness' in your yarn, for example when steeking. The cuticles of the yarn have not had a process done to them where they lie flat and smooth on the surface of the yarn, therefore the fibres can stick together more easily.

Small batch, hand-dyed yarn from my little studio in Lower Hutt, Aotearoa/New Zealand. Everything, from sourcing the yarn to shipping, is done with love and care by hand. The nature of hand-dyed yarn is that no two skeins are exactly the same, creating beautifully nuanced colourways.

I source finest quality, fully traceable and mulesing-free, ethically, sustainably farmed yarns from New Zealand and abroad.

The dyes I use are made in Australia and New Zealand.  They are acid dyes that are used for dyeing protein-based fibre (such as wool and silk). I take every care to use only the quantities necessary to create my colourways. This means that the dyepot is fully exhausted when the dyeing is complete - that is, the water is clear, so I can reuse the same water for the next batch.

Please note that due to the seasonal availability of the natural, plant dyes used, no pre-orders or sweater sets are available for this colourway.
